What You’ll Need:

  • 2 large eggs.
  • 2 slices whole grain or sourdough bread (or English muffins).
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar or mozzarella).
  • 2 slices cooked bacon (or plant-based bacon, if you’re vegetarian) (optional).
  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
Optional additions: sliced avocado, tomato, spinach, hot sauce.

How to Make a Breakfast Sandwich?

Prep Your Ingredients: Crack the eggs into a bowl and season with a pinch of salt and a couple grinds of pepper; lightly beat.
Cook the Eggs: In a non-stick frying pan, melt a ½ tablespoon of butter. Add the eggs and cook until softly scrambled or shaped into a folded omelet.
Toast the Bread: Either in the skillet, or a toaster, toast your bread slices until golden.
Melt the Cheese: If you want melt cheese, put it in the bottom eggs or on the bottom bread while everything is still hot.
Assemble: Sandwich egg, bacon (or your veggie bacon alternative), and any other add-ins such as avocado or spinach between bread.
